With a commitment to respecting our planet, we have decided to develop products that will accompany you in the long term while being eco-responsible.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why choose a raw material that is free from petrol-based plastic, natural, and SUSTAINABLE?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">TABLE &amp; NATURE was born from a desire to create tableware without petrol-based plastic in order to replace traditional leisure tableware, which is mostly made of this type of plastic. Plastic is a material derived from petrol. It is therefore polluting and harmful to humans and the environment. Additionally, some forms of plastic are not recyclable.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Petrol-based plastic contains micro particles that can migrate from the product to the food we consume. It&#8217;s a pollutant, and having petrol-based plastic in our bodies can have long-term negative effects. So, we thought it was really important to create tableware that&#8217;s responsible and respectful of both people and our planet.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">A few numbers to get a sense of the main environmental benefits of this material:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-list\">\n<li>70% less energy consumption for its production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80% less greenhouse gas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100% plant- and mineral-based (renewable resources)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0% petrol<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What biomaterial do we use and how have we harnessed it?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">To meet the need for 100% natural tableware, 0% petrol-based plastic, 0% BPA, TABLE &amp; NATURE spent a long time searching for the right material. It took two years to identify a suitable base material, find a supplier not too far away, master the material, and equip it with the characteristics that<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">we were aiming to achieve&#8230; to experiment, fail, start over, test, refine&#8230;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">With a well-completed set of specifications, the material that proved ideal for our needs is PLA (Polylactic Acid). While its name may sound intimidating, PLA is indeed a biopolymer. This biopolymer is obtained through the fermentation of plants (corn starch, for example, which is an agricultural byproduct of corn production) and the addition of minerals (chalk for us).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">This material provides us with everything we needed to develop our products.
