YOANN SECROUN, FOUNDER OF ZEAPACK, A COMPANY WITH STRONG VALUES
After working for big companies for many years, Yoann Secroun wanted to switch things up and do something more in line with his values. Ecology, human relationships, teaching in a clear way… these are the values he stands for and wants to share.
It was during a trip that his children suggested he bring a bit more eco-friendliness into his life. So, for a year, Yoann Secroun decided to dive into this world. He met with NGOs, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, industry players, sorting centres, shop owners… and the conclusion was always the same… Ecology and alternatives to petrol-based plastic are really important to everyone, but how do you find reliable information and eco-friendly products? That’s when Yoann Secroun decided to start an initiative to raise collective awareness.
It was in 2017 that he created Zeapack, one of the first French websites dedicated to natural products without petrol-based plastic. Yoann Secroun wanted to offer reusable or disposable products that are 100% natural and environmentally friendly, as well as a way to inform consumers about natural alternatives to single-use plastic products.
THE ZEAPACK ASSOCIATION
Independently of his business activity, he created an Association that highlights those who take action for the planet and/or who want to eliminate single-use plastic. On the Association’s website, you can find the names of the companies with which the association carries out these actions.
All the professionals with whom the Zeapack Association works have an educational role. The idea is therefore to create a relationship with their clients and to show alternative solutions to polluting products. Each member displays the “eco-friendly tableware” label in their establishment.
The membership fee is €50 per year and allows the association to carry out planet-cleaning activities, support student projects, make donations, conduct street interviews, and distribute pocket ashtrays (especially on beaches in summer).
ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTED BY ZEAPACK
Zeapack sells a wide range of natural products, both reusable and disposable, to professionals, individuals, and associations. Among the disposable products sold by Zeapack, we can find compostable garbage bags for restaurateurs, local authorities, or school canteens, natural plates, or disposable take-away boxes for food trucks, for example… But Zeapack does not only sell natural disposable products. It’s Pascal PLEY, Sales Director and founding member of TABLE & NATURE, who discovered Zeapack. He immediately liked and related to the values. That’s why he wanted to work with Yoann Secroun.
After a lot of discussions, exploring the products, and sharing values, the collaboration between Zeapack and TABLE & NATURE was born. TABLE & NATURE develops and sells sustainable, natural, and reusable tableware. This eco-friendly tableware is an alternative to disposable or petrol-based plastic dishes. It was these values and the desire to offer an alternative to polluting products that convinced Yoann Secroun to sell TABLE & NATURE products on his website.
